How to be a Girl Scout Troop Volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to provide girls in your community with the Girl Scout experience - a sisterhood that last forever!
To support your child’s troop follow these steps:

Register your family and your daughter through MYGS under www.gshnj.org. Girls are $40 and family members are $25 each.

Complete the volunteer application/background online form through the www.gshnj.org MYGS page.

Forward the Cranford Service Unit Registrar (Registrar@CranfordGirlScouts.com) the GSHNJ email confirmations for your family so that they may be assigned to the Cranford Service Unit (48).
Are you interested in being a troop co-leader? Complete the following steps:

Complete the mandatory training for new leaders through MYGS under GSLearn:
- Successful Leader Learning Series
- Level Training (specific to the grade level troop you will be leading)
- GSHNJ Mandated Reporter Training
- Review Volunteer Essentials
- Review Safety Activity Checkpoints before planning activities with the girls
